Paw Ray
Hsa Thoo Lei is a migrant school in Mae Sot, Tak Province, which was established in 1999 by Ms. Paw Ray, the
head-mistress, in order to allow children of Burmese migrant workers to go to school.
The school started with 26 students but grew over the years to 237 students, of whom 130 stay at the school - either because they are orphaned or their families are too poor to look after them. 16 teachers and staff, plus volunteers as they become available, look after the children, give them a home and an education.

programs. The clinic supports primary schools for refugee children and boarding schools for
orphans.
